Install Artificial Turf and Say Bye to Yard Pests

The American dream usually includes a lush green lawn along with a white picket fence. However, these things are not easy to achieve and maintain. Sometimes you must deal with the yard pests that come with a lush lawn. There are also types of grass that are disease prone and lead to insects destroying your garden. Natural Grass and the Yard Pests Problem

Grubs and pill bugs are usually to blame for these types of damage. A temporary fix is to force the creatures out by flooding the area with soapy water for several minutes.

Although gophers do not dig through artificial turf, they can create tunnels below the turf and make the surface uneven. Ants are smaller, but just as problematic as other yard pests. They like to live in grass and build unsightly anthills. Sometimes they will travel from the grass into the house, making even more trouble for homeowners. A short-term solution is to get rid of the anthills by leveling them with a rake or filling them with water. This disturbs the nests causing the ants to look for new homes, but unless you have removed the queen, recurrence is likely. You can also place bait stations around the yard, but this is not ideal for families with pets or children.
